Inmates are typically limited to communicating with pre-approved contacts, and all electronic communications are subject to review and monitoring by correctional staff for security purposes.

If you don't hear back from the inmate right away it's because every message has to be approved before you get a response. Check the horn notification icon in top right-hand corner to see if the message is pending for approval.
