Our Dog & Cat Business Unit supporting Nylabone, Four Paws and Cadet brands is seeking a motivated paid intern to work in our Human Resources Department. The duration of the internship program is part-time, with the flexibility to work around your school schedule.

Measures Of SuccessThe Human Resources intern will provide support in and be exposed to a variety of HR functions including, but not limited to talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations and engagement, inclusion, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, workplace policy development, organizational learning, and talent development.

The ideal candidate will be results-driven and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. The ability to work independently is necessary for success, along with working collaboratively with all levels of the HR team and cross-functional business leaders. This is a great opportunity for a student pursuing an HR-related Bachelor's or Masters's degree to join the pack with Nylabone, the industry leader in creating high-quality best chew toys, long-lasting edible chews, and dental solutions for dogs of every age, breed, shape, and size.

Internship Requirements

• Review resumes for current openings and makes a recommendation based on job requirements and manager meetings.
• Review job descriptions to ensure they align with company branding
• Assist HR Recruiter in a variety of employment branding, social media efforts, and recruiting initiatives
• Work with the HR Recruiter in creating and updating job boards - This includes researching new job boards to post to that will effectively attract talent based on position requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service to those contacting the HR department via phone and e-mail by responding to inquiries/requests in a timely manner
• Support other members of the HR Team on an as-needed basis

Internship Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program with a focus in HR Management, HR analytics, Industrial-Organizational psychology, or other related disciplines from an accredited college or university
• Tech-savvy and enthusiastic about learning new technology and programs
• Strong business acumen and result orientation, including sophisticated critical and strategic thinking, problem-solving and analytic skills
• Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative and innovative thinker
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
